I was talking to some guy then all of a sudden he says "Oh, and by the way..."
He then used some weapon on me and I was pushed into the sky so high I fell forever and couldn't land so I just teleported. When I teleported I found my avatar had changed from male to female, my shape, face, hair, etc changed, and my skin was darker.
I was furious.
Is this a weapon or just a glitch of some kind?

It sounds like your avatar loaded wrong somehow. There isn't any way for it to be the griefer's fault, though what he did was still agains the community standards. File an abuse report on the attacker, a bug report about your avatar, and then relog to see if it's fixed. If it's not, contact a Linden and ask what your options are for getting your avatar fixed.

Cat, I disagree.
It sounds like a typical example of being hit so hard that the AV is lost. The AV had to fully reload when you teleported - note that female is the default shape. Abuse Report the griefer, close SL, open a new session, and go on with your life  _____________________

Sounds like you got Ruthed. That is, your avatar shape got defaulted to the "Ruth" avatar that everyone in SL inhabits for a brief interval before their mesh parameters are streamed to whatever simulator they're at. This sort of thing happens to me from time to time when I hit a simulator border at very high speeds.
So, it doesn't surprise me that a push weapon would get you Ruthed. When this sort of thing happens, DO NOT edit your avatar shape. Log out of SL and reconnect. You should then appear as normal. Sorry to hear you lost your shape, in any case. _____________________

Alternatly, go into apperance mode then quit apperance mode before you change anything. When it asks, "Save changes?" click "No". Your avatar should return to it's proper form. _____________________

"And Ill get that gun out of my purse and change you from a Rooster to a Hen with One Shot" sorry hehe this post reminded me of that. Yes difeintely Make a back up copy of your shape - always good advice! Especially if you drink and play (as many do) - you could wake up in the morning with a Size 90 Butt and Size 11 waist. |

you choose in that case, but if you've ever made a new slider skin from scratch, the default is a short stocky swarthy female.

Happens to me at least once a day. Just drop the folder you saved your shape and clothing onto your AV and <poof>....good as new. Also easy way to change outfits and AVs on the fly.
As for the push, (1) bang your head on the keyboard until the trauma is purged and (2) go about your merry way. _____________________

Is this true? I always thought there was a default male as well as a default female. When folks first res on the teleport hub they appear as either a default male or female (I thought) that quickly changes to their current shape.
