My game window froze, I rebooted to log off and start over. Now it appears to be logging me in, then the window disappears and a crash report box pops up. It has been doing this for 3 hours now. Any ideas? Thanks!

You'll want to de-install and re-install SL. That clears your cache (and resets your settings, sorry) and will probably fix the problem.
You won't lose anything else, SL stuff is stored on the servers.
