Kind of creepy

Police caught the killer of a guy in NY by this final blog entry , which was posted a few minutes before his death

---

Today I missed my Japanese class again, since I have gotten a bad throat. I only went to the class once this week, so I am probably so far behind now. I will catch up in the summer tho so no worries hehe. Anyway today has been weird, at 3 some guy ringed the bell. I went down and recognized it was my sister's former boyfriend. He told me he wants to get his fishing poles back. I told him to wait downstair while I get them for him. While I was searching them, he is already in the house. He is still here right now, smoking, walking all around the house with his shoes on which btw I just washed the floor 2 days ago! Hopefully he will leave soon, oh yeah working on the jap report as we speak!

Creepy story!
At first I thought this was some kind of hoax, but aparently it's true.

Here's a pic of how the victim looked (in life) from his webpage

That's so sad. :(

It reminds me to stick to my rule of thumb: always answer the door with a machete.

How sad and eerie. Though, with the proliferation of blogs and journals and the like, not entirely unexpected. Murderers have been caught by answering machine messages, pager numbers, etc... this is just a logical progression.

What's really weird to think of is how you can read about his life... When he's dead. Think of the traces of him left on the internet. People on the internet might wonder where he is.

Maybe I should keep a blog and report on everyone around me, so they can know who kills me in the end :). ( Not that they don't have a good reason to kill me... )

In a sense, the internet has created the sci-fi equivilant of a ghost, under the definition that a ghost is a detailed replication of a once-living person. (as oppossed to a concious soul). Through his blog and webpage you can see and know him fairly well- as if you had a crystal ball that gave you a detailed glimpse into the past.

Anyone notice the huge number of comments people added to his final entry? One hopes there's (1) and afterlife with (2) internet access so he can tell how many people were touched by his story.
