Could somebody give me a quick overview (or a link to one) of what Dwell is and how traffic is determind? I tried looking in the Wiki, but couldn't find anything.
Thanks a bunch,

Dell and traffic are the same thing. The name formally was changed a couple updates back from dwell to traffic, but people still use both terms.
Here's how it works. Each day, every person who logs into SL has one "traffic point" (or "dwell point" if you prefer) to spend. Each person's point gets divided among all the places in which he or she spends more than 5 minutes on any a particular day. So, if you log in and spend 5 minutes at home and 5 minutes at a club, then your land and the club would each get half a point from you for the day. If you pass through a lot of other parcels on your way to the club, but you don't stop to spend 5 minutes or more in any of them, those places won't get any portion of your point. If you spend 2 hours at the club instead of 5 minutes, the club's share of the point is unchanged; it still only gets half. 5 minutes is the line. Anything less equals no share; anything more equals an equal share with all the other places that got more than 5 minutes of your time, no matter how much. All those little pieces of points are added up at the end of the day for each parcel of land, and the resulting number becomes the land's traffic for the day. I'm not sure exactly how many days at a time are shown when you view a parcel's traffic number. I think it's the past week, but I could be wrong. Perhaps someone else has more information on that part. _____________________

So, if you log in and spend 5 minutes at home and 5 minutes at a club, then your land and the club would each get half a point from you for the day. No, you cannot give dwell to your own land. If you spend 2 hours at the club instead of 5 minutes, the club's share of the point is unchanged; it still only gets half. 5 minutes is the line. Anything less equals no share; anything more equals an equal share with all the other places that got more than 5 minutes of your time, no matter how much. No, the dwell received is proportional to the time spent at the location. 20 mins at plot A followed by 10 mins at plot B gives 66% of your dwell to A and 33% to B. (assuming you log out and don't give dwell to anywhere else that day) _____________________
