I am thinking about investing in the basic first land (512 sq. meters) which i i know isn't much but it's something i can afford IRL dollars.

Are there any First Land owners here that could give me some insight on how they feel about their "cozy" homes on disadvantage and advantages if any?

The first land is included in the premium account, but is there any other costs associated with owning a home, like ongoing taxes and fees, etc?

Does building the house upward count towards the 512sq m?

How do i tell how many prims i can have for the home?

How many people do own homes for their avatar to live in and why that size?

So many questions to ask when i play this game.

Well its small, but if you buy/make low prim furniture it can work :)

The premium account costs $9.95 a month, but you still have to buy the first land, which is L$512. The premium account only gives you the right to own it.

You can build as high as you can manage, but you get more building bugs etc the higher you build.

117 prims on 512sq m. Right click a plot, about land.

512sq m is just the standard plot size.. I'm not sure how many people own homes, I don't.. Maybe we need a poll :p

I also forgot to ask, how can you tell how many Prims a single item has on average? Like a bed, chair, rug, etc?

Right click the object, hit Edit from the pie menu, click the "more" button. You will see the general info under the general tab. It will tell you the prim count of that object.

Try to buy first land in a mature tropical area, that will be the most valuable should you ever decide to sell.
