Posting about posting these topics in the General Forum is spam (especially since you've done it more than once now) and should be treated as such.

SLBlogger is a free second life innovation. It sounds much more like a general subject than classified ad to me.

Innovation?
What's wrong with just an OPML file to a bunch of blogs you can find on blogger.com? There is very little innovative about SLBogger.com and what little there is, is not sufficient to be bumping in the general forums. _____________________

Posting about these topics in the General Forum is spam and should be treated as such. A post about misplaced topics from a notorious forum troll is oxymoronic. Briana Dawson _____________________

Hey, I appreciate everyone's comments and thoughts regarding this topic.
I think the originators of these services are generally good and smart people, however this particular service does little to innovate and more appropiate replacements exist already. As such, I am expressing my opinion that bumping services such as these in the general forums (that do little to innovate) is tantamount to spamming the forums. _____________________

I post information about Snapzilla/SLU to the fan sites forum, except in rare circumstances where I need something of more general attention (letitng people know SL's email servers were backed up by about 8 hours, or when I needed assistance replacing lost photos). However, people periodically start threads on their own about the site - yourself included, in the general forums. As such, I will respond in them when they do appear. Baba started one about SLBLOGGER - not the creator of the site. It is a fine line between spam and general interest, you are correct Blaze - but report it instead of starting threads targetting it. If LL wants it moved, they will.

Maybe, but then so is complaining in multiple threads about it, as well as starting a seperate thread about it, which offers nothing innovative in and of itself, and therefore, by your own definition, is spam as well. You can't beat fun for a goodtime! Thanks blaze. _____________________

Thanks for your comments, Nolan.
I'll restrict my input to this thread in order to avoid spamming the rest of the forum. _____________________

While it seems of general interest to me (I would not likely have known of it otherwise), I consider Blaze in no way a troll.

You're a dirty something! *grabs a sponge and bucket of water* Come here Baba!
The way I see it, SLBlogger isn't offering anything for a fee. It's a bit like the Money Tree's, its a free (atleast now) service for anyone to use and has to do with SL. I don't think theres anywhere else it would fit in, so General seems well. _____________________

GENERAL - as in encompassing all. I agree that advertising for services should be kept in the SERVICES section, however, announcements of a new service or an important update about an SL service? I'm fine with those in General, as long as it doesn't become spam. (For example, I like getting GOM updates in General)
Blaze, congrats on your hiring - I didn't know Jeska had been promoted from forum moderator and you had been hired. When did this happen? ![]() -Flip _____________________

Would not this thread be off-topic if we apply the original poster's own analytic method?
