Currently in SL when you start the mature option is turned off for all searches. When you do turn it on it still gives PG locations.

I was thinking it would be great to see a "mature only" search.

So, would this be equivalent to the ".xxx" version of Second Life? :) A Second Life where you can only see things that are considered unfit for minors? Maybe we could create sims where every prim is required to be dirty, vulgar, or insinuative....or at the very least has a picture of a penis textured on it. :D

Liona your response might be seen as a good example of why someone might want a mature only filter on searches. But not the way you meant ...

now if they could reverse the stupid "Fog On" feature too? its like navigating through pee soup when you log in (I SO hate Martha Stewart 'Green') and then you get to go through all the hoops of Debug. LL has a misconception asto certain realities. We're all adults. SL is or was touted as an adult enviorment only so shouldn't Mature regions be set to visable on the get go. Alot of newbies don't find out about this feature until later and think of what they are missing thier initial first few weeks. there is alot of neutral content in Mature as well, not just nekkid AVs in the throws of an orgy.

I don't mean for vulgar or dirty locations (though that would be part of the result). But when shopping say for sex pose balls, gathering palces, or say pictures/art work. maybe you want "mature" rated work. Type in the search and go to the spot to find out it is PG and thereofre not having what you want. land searches could benifit if you do a search and exclude PG sims.

Try the debug menu (forget the command) it has an option to turn off fog and particles.

Well, but, they would also be seeing a lot of stuff that has nothing to do with "mature." They'd be seeing my innocent little Tiny houses, bunches of regular houses, ordinary games, everything! The mature land, to me, is really so that (a) you don't have to worry about one of your guests saying the f word, or somebody reporting you for having a piece of art featuring a semi-nude depicition in your house, or catching you undressed, and (b) your land will be worth more.

Of course, it's also a safe way to actually HAVE sex balls and assorted activities and content like that, but I don't think most of mature places actually feature much of that. I could be wrong. So having a filter to show ONLY the mature places would be largely pointless.

I voted no on this. Instead, I think they should get rid of the filter that automatically filters out mature areas in the Find menu. In other words, you start OUT that way, and it took me quite some time to realize I wasn't seeing anywhere near all the locations of the money trees. I mean, really, what's the point of everybody starting out the game with everything in the mature category hidden?

Seems to me that filter exists only for people who wish to not view anything that MIGHT be "mature." It should be an option that can be turned on, IF that's desired, rather than the default option. After all, we officially don't have anyone under the age of 18 anyway. As for making a "mature only" option, not much use for that, I would guess, since it sweeps up so much, but I could be wrong.

I don't see the need for it.

PG Sims shouldn't have this kind of stuff in them anyway, therefore eliminating them. So I vote NO!!!!!!
