Spreading the word?

Does the L$3000 award forreferring people to SL still apply for those people I've brought in so far? I have 5 potential joiners cooking right now :-)

It will apply only if they identified you as their referer on their sign-up form, and if they convert to a paid membership.

Thanks. I know a few have done so, since there was a system announcement that "your friend" - or something like that - has just logged in.

*sniff* I reffered one, maybe two people who will be going to live I think and they couldn't put me as a referral because Omega was not an available last name on the referral list.

Aww I referred people but I think it was before you could even put in a referral.

I refered people and forgot to tell them my SL name. One of them is a lifer now. Hehe, my bad.

Ama was right - a few weeks ago we didn't have all the SL last names in the "referred by" drop down that's in the registration form. We have since corrected that, so even if your SL last name has been retired, you CAN get referral credits - your SL last name will be in the referral list.

To make sure that you get credit for ALL your referrals, use your personal "Spread the Word" link (see https://secondlife.com/account/friend.php). You can post this link anywhere (email it to friends, put it in your sig file, on your website, in discussion boards, etc.). Anyone who clicks on your link and then registers to try SL within 3 months will earn you referral credits. Plus, if they convert to a full SL member, you'll get the L$3000 bounty.
