I am in the process of trying to build a giant human statue.

The hard part is the face, anyone have any ideas how i can get either a model in game that can be edited

or know about how to get an external model in game?

or know of someone with the skill to make eyes , ears nose and mouth and make it looke good?

Any help for the Giant Athena Statue project much appreciated.

In an FAQ (I'm not sure precisely where, sorry) it's been said that the streaming format used by SL isn't compatible with other 3D mesh formats -- whatever you build, you have to build with primitives.

Another solution (though you may not want to go this way) would be to model your statue's face only vaguely, and apply a custom texture that adds all of the details. Again, you may not want to take that road, but I thought I'd suggest it anyway.

have beta 1.0 of the Athena statue up at perry 130,140
can't miss it.

I think i might have a solution to the face problem
ar at least 2 possible solutions.

1. make the face from tons of little blocks, would be painstaking and time consuming but you could theoretically get a face shape with enough attention to detail and tim. Drawbacks ? probably the time and shaping.
would also solve the size limitations.

i just ran into this size limitation trying to make the shield of athena, i'll either have to lower the scale of the statue or make a larger shield in large sections.

Ill post a screen when i can

Would love any feedback.
