Okay, guys and gals. I need suggestions. Right now we're working on the first issue for SL Consumer's Report. I wanted to put this up for discussion as to what should be in this issue (which will be FREE at our grand opening)
So far we have these articles in the first issue:
12 Wonders of Second Life -- If you wanted to visit just 12 spots in second life, what would they be and why? This will cover what most would consider the greatest objects/areas created (and still around) in Second Life and how you can support them to keep them up.
To walk? To fly? How to get by! -- This reviews a number of the more popular transportation methods in second life (such as the bee vs. Magic carpet) and their advantages/disadvantages.
Hangout Monthly -- Reviews some of the hangout spots in SL and what's good about them. ----------------------------
Any other suggestions for what you'd like to read about would be most appreciated. Remember our grand opening will be Sept 15th!

Since this is a "Consumer Reports" type magazine, how about reviews of businesses and the products they offer?

From: someone Originally posted by Bob Bunderfeld Since this is a "Consumer Reports" type magazine, how about reviews of businesses and the products they offer? That will be part of the articles. For instance the transportation article will also be talking about what shops we've found to offer the best deals on these vehicles. It's also noted that someone requested this topic which will be in the magazine now: To Rent or Not To rent. That's quite a question! -- looking into whether it's better to rent a place in second life or build your own. What should your reasons for each be?

Cool -- this is a great topic for newbies to have. I rented originally, but now I also have a little shack elsewhere inworld. Look forward to seeing your magazine.

Very very cool idea I hope you do well with it. Can't wait to check out your first issue! Any chance you're going to sell ad space in it?
