Is there a bug in x/z explicit rotation?

I'm just starting to get a feeling for this building thing, but I like to use the text edit boxes to position and rotate my objects. I'm beginning to wonder if the text boxes for rotation are bugged, as I often get unexpected results.

One that I seem to get fairly often is that when I specify a rotation on the x axis, it instead rotates on the z axis. Just to be sure I wasn't going crazy, I tried rotating by adjusting the number in the z-axis rotation box, and it rotates on the same axis as it had just done on the x.

The strange thing is they don't have the same number when this does happen. It's almost like one is working on an absolute and the other on a relative, but both on the same axis.

Does any of this make sense?

If not, I'll try to make a log of exactly what I do and what results I get, when I get home from work, and I'll re-post here exactly what is happening.

Thanks for reading =)

This is a known bug, has been for the past couple of minor updates. I'm not sure if it's been fixed as I've been dealing with RL a lot in lieu of SL. (yay life coming back to bite ya in the butt  )

I can't remember any thread names, but there have been at least a couple.

Do you have to have "Rotation" bubble selected for this to work properly? I could have sworn I saw funky results rotating etc when I didn't have the "correct" bubble selected. That seemed a little odd because I was choosing what I wanted to do by entering my specific info so why should it care if I have "Position" or "rotate" selected but I just accepted it as a quirk. Could this be the same thing?
