It takes a certain kind of person to make their home in Jessie, and a few of those brave souls decided to share the joy of their Jessie lifestyle with the residents of neighboring sims. These neighbors, for their part, were equally enthusiastic in their response, thus generating the majority of this week’s Blotter activity. While we applaud cross-cultural exchange, it is important to remember that safe areas are safe for a reason, and violent or aggressive behavior needs to be confined to unsafe areas. Numerous warnings were issued, and at least one second offender served a three day sentence.

Nudity in PG areas, thankfully, wasn’t an issue this week. Phallus construction, however, seems to be an obsession with a small subset of Second Life residents. While one might be tempted to speculate about the underlying psychological causation, but the Police Blotter will restrict its comment on the issue to reminding all residents that mature content belongs in mature areas.

The remainder of the Blotter was filled with reports of disruptive or downright annoying behavior, and the majority of offenders were new residents. Take a moment to remember that you were new around here once, and probably just as annoying to those with a little more experience. A friendly word or a bit of gentle guidance as to how things work goes a long way with a new resident, so lets all try to show a little patience.

Statistics: Six accounts of harassment, intimidation, or vandalism, three complaints about voting farms, two instances of inappropriate content on a PG sim, three reports of disruptive behavior, and three complaints of an undisclosed nature. As a result of these complaints and our subsequent investigations, one resident was suspended, six warnings were issued, and two cases are still pending.
