just complaining again...since nothing ever seems to change...can't really go very far in any of my vehicles...sooner or later I get bounced out without warning by someone's little auto eject system...are there that many paranoid people in SL...what are they afraid I'm going to see or do? Isn't there some way to limit the range of these things so that you can fly or sail around SL? Oh well...

I almost never use any of my vehicles anymore because of this very thing.

Here's my strategy, Neal, for this very pervasive and pernicious SL phenom:
1. Negrate all who use those bounce scripts. No questions asked. Negrate, and put a note: "I will reverse this negrate when you remove your bounce script."
2. AR them to the Lindens. If you got bounced or ejected and thrown any distance, they haven't warned you, and they've pushed your av too far, which even Lee Linden with all his caution about simply eliminating these things, will tell you.
3. Go to the Linden Hotline page and reiterate the query I and others have made as to the need for the Lindens to *articulate and enforce* their policy on bounce scripts so that we can begin to see some enforcement of the TOS and some deterrence.
4. Get others to negrate those who use bounce scripts -- they're nasty and inconsiderate.
5. Try to educate those who use bounce scripts -- they often put them in, after a moment of anger, fear, and concommitant stupidity. They get griefed once, they can't get over it, and they aren't aware that it will likely not repeat. SO they get trigger-happy and arm themselves with this. They can't feel the bounces so they don't "get it".

I agree , The bounce / security scripts are messing up SL . I was admiring someones statue build Friday night and got bounced so far I cant find the build again. Later that same night I was flying to an event and got bounced so far I crashed SL. By the time I got SL going again I was 20 minutes late for the event. BTW all these areas were empty at the time.

I still think ejection scripts should be limited at the script level - with a hardcoded warning and/or ability to bounce the vehicle with the agent still attached. Compare: Some scripts are kind enough to provide this warning already. It was a pleasure to see a "Perimeter Guard" issue an actual warning and then "thank" me upon leaving. Whoever created that one needs some kudos. But yes. The commons should be preserved from this sort of paranoid behavior. There has to be a happy medium to provide both freedom of travel and privacy short of buying a personal sim.

My Prop 228 will at least force owners to put up signs and prop 229 will ban teleport bouncers.
