We are due to have the same weather here Rivn, Warnings of 20 to 30 below windchill. Right now as of 2pm Central it is supposed to be 20 below wind. And I got to take my little guy in for his 2 month checkup. No matter how I bundle him up I'm nervous taking him out at all in this. Vehicles don't like weather like this.

Been a little warmer here, anywhere from -8C to -16C in the -20's with the windchill. I walk to work each day to try and stay fit, nice and frosty when I get in. Sometimes I suit my nick name (crazy Canuck)

Hi nieghbor, lol Imhere in Wisconsin. Are you in the up? or lower?

Everything went ok with the little guy, except he didnt like his 2 month shots :-( , but he is sleeping sound on my chest (somethin about a daddy's chest huh?

Btw I read in Time mag. in the doctors office that if trends continue into Feb. like Jan. was, we could be lookin at the coldest winter in recorded history.....Believe it or not? I doubt it but time will tell (no pun intended) Supposed to be colder then the winter of 76-77.

Tracy, I feel for you. You got an electric blanket? You may need several.

:D

It's 30 degrees as I speak and we are bracing for 3-5 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. Not that we'll get that but... here on the coast of Virginia, 3 inches brings our area to a screeching halt. NO WORK TOMORROW!

My hubby is in Michigan right now. During the winter he's in Wisconsin and Canada most of the time, so he has no sympathy.

:)

Well I was really wondering why my heater was always running and it was still so freakin cold inside. So I walked around the apartment trying to find where the draft was coming from. I had forgotten to completely latch one of the bedroom windows :) I used to keep them a little bit open in the summer, and just opened and closed them, but never fully locked and latched them. One was cracked a bit and cold air was actually blowing IN. This I guess has been like this for months... lol.

ooops I'd hate to see your heating bill.....

But you would hate to see mine too, I got a 60 year old furnace in a house that doesnt have any wall insulation, and a siding installer that decided to rip off all the old siding when he didnt have the replacement siding on hand. I got a naked and very drafty house. Its amazing all those little nails holes create such a draft.

OMG no thanks. I feel for ya. I can say I know how it feels. I have never been in that rough of a situation. Good luck hope the water leak doesn't create too big of a puddle and freezes in the foundation....Much bigger problems then.
