Lifers –
As previously discussed here in the forums, we’re working on some different tools to help manage owned land in Second Life. We’ll build content objects and periodically drop them off in the “Property Management Tools” section of the Bazaar on Stillman (134,100) for you to grab at your leisure. Whenever something new is created I’ll add it to the list below and bump the thread back up on the forum list.
Lots of these objects will be new examples of some scripting so creators should feel free to experiment – maybe you like the “Mean Bouncer Frog” object as opposed to the Tiki torch we’ve made. However, I’d like to keep these modified objects out of the specific Bazaar section in order to keep it relatively easy for newer residents to find the items listed below. Besides, it’s much more fun for you to open a “Home Security” storefront.

I’m posting here as opposed to “Announcements” so the community can post the types of tools they would like to see created. I’d like to hold philosophical debates about land rights to a separate discussion and will periodically edit the thread if we go off-topic.
Current Property Management Tools:
* Kick All Tiki (v.1): This allows you to immediately kick all other avatars off of a parcel of land you own. Good for when you just want to be alone or don’t want people to come onto your land when you’re not online. [Added 4/29/03]
* Bouncer Doors (v.1): Two different door kits which maintain ban/admit name lists. Those who are on admit list can open door via control panel. Serves as a physical barrier. [Added 5/8/03]
* Kicker Tiki (v.1): Allows you to kick a named resident from your property and/or ban others from your land. [Added 6/5/03]
have fun!
