After reviewing this post I'm sure there is a way for private banking to work in SL. I'm working on the project now, I think that enlisting "credit officers" is a must... We dont want an in-world enron scandal going on. My idea is more of a credit union. I'm a life time member and short of death do not plan on going offline. I have also privatly financed projects in world. One major point.... I think that since there is no oversight that all banking / credit union records will be open to the public to be read at any time. Looking for pointers, ideas, thoughts, and helpers!  Eznil |

Enzil, you should try talking to Shebang. She started Second Life's first bank back in February or March. She can give you all the "correct" info on why it's not still around. I think your only looking at half of what banking is.
I know part of it was people taking loans and not paying back or just quitting and never playing again. Without some sort of Linden support, I don't see a bank ever working.
