I just lost my giant peace hand, a masterpiece of organic object creation using inorganic shapes that took many hours to build, thanks to the Lindens' brilliant scheme that an object dissapears from your inventory when you rez it. i have lost several objects this way, and thought I had learned my lesson, but one mistake and your greatest work is lost. If this has to be true so that you can buy 1 copy of something off someone, the object should reappear in your inventory when you delete it or the object in your inventory should not be deleted unless is non-copyable. I feel stupid clogging my inventory with several back-up copies of objects. This should have been fixed a long time ago.

Um, Pippin, the object goes into your trash folder when you delete it...

Pipp, if you hold down the Shift key as you drag an object out of inventory, a copy STAYS in inventory. Unless it's "NO COPY".

Hope that saves a little headache next time.

Uhhh... for real?!!

Oh my, thank you! I have been wanting such a feature forever! I always right click in inventory, copy, and paste into a folder, ugh. Guess I missed part of the manual somewhere, ehehe. This will save a lot of time, thanks again!

A long long time ago, the inventory used to allow you to not hold shift when you take it out of inventory, but, they decided to change that. Now we have to hold shift.

it is that way so you can buy a "no copy" object and not res 20 of them, i think. Thanks for all the usefull suggestions, and sorry about my outburst.
