I just got my beta email. If i create a nightclub in the game will i be able to spin music? If so can i spin copyrighted music or only stuff i create myself?

You are not allowed to upload copyrighted content to Second Life. This includes music, graphics, etc.

So yeah, you should really only play music you've created yourself.

And if you make a nightclub (there are already a couple of them), you could quite easily create a turntable object and have it play sounds. It won't exactly be realtime mixing, but if you scripted it well enough, it would be pretty cool.

If you run into BuhBuhCuh Fairchild in the game, ask him about his new party objects. =)

I write my own music, have done for years. I could probably supply you with some original, royalty-free beats of my own creation for use in-world.

They'll probably cost ya a couple of bucks to get from me. :D
