Actually, you are wrong. Of ALL the hundreds of feature proposals, of all the thouseands of resident votes, having a pony is the *only* one that is moving forward.

Ya, it's nice to see where the priorities are eh... Mind you, they've said they are fixing all the bugs first, which is where their priorities really ought to be. Still, it is a bit of a slap in the face to pick that particular one as the only one to put "in development" status on. It was funny at first, but as the weeks and months drag on, not so funny. I would agree if the development team took time away from fixing bugs to make Pony Linden, but that wasn't the case. The Linden that created Pony has nothing to do with fixing bugs, and if he had spent all day and night working on high priority bug fixes it would not have helped at all as that is not his job or area of expertise. I can understand if you find this a poor symbolic gesture, but that's all it is...symbolic. _____________________

I am not accusing them of squandering valuable bug fixing time on a pony. After all the fanfare, it isn't very funny any more that all we get is a pony. Rock the vote. Rah rah rah. Don't hold your breath. Buster |

The pony is pretty, was probably developed as Amy said, outside of the bug fixes and a nice addition to the welcome area. Just my 2 L.

Shetland ponies are people!! Sorry, having Soylent Green flashbacks.. Am I the only one who finds that pony disturbing? Nope. A Shetland powered by a person? eep. People, this is a lawsuit waiting to happen--falls under attractive nuisance, I believe. If not, it is certainly a personal injury suit. What if the ASCPA gets involved? Anyone think of that? Huh? Huh? Sorry to pee in the punchbowl. ![]() |
