Anyone familar with (or interested in) Shadowrun is invited to IM me if they wish to join a playing group that I am gathering. Things are a bit sketchy now but game play should start this weekend or so. After I post this I will be creating a group (search for shadowrun to join) for organizing these sessions.

For those not familiar, Shadowrun is a cyberpunk game set in the years 2050-2064 (my game will be set in 2060-2062) where magic mingles with science to create a dark world of power struggles and evil secerts. The characters take the role of Shadowrunners, mercenaries for hire to the highest bidder who do the dirty work of the corporate giants. Using skills in magic, hacking, or combat to get the job done and try to become a legend in the streets.

I will be using the NSRCG program (google it, it's shareware) for character creation and recording.

Thanks for your time,
Samuel Frost

I used to LOVE Shadowrun, though i changed it to include some things from D&D. I reintroduced the Drow, after running an adventure where the PC's killed the Spider Totem. Was interesting introducing a race of people who's "god" was dead, and the fallout from that particular action. Also allowed me to introduce "Mithril" cyberware, 10x the cost, for a quarter of the "essence" ( I think that was the stat) loss.

watch that, those weapons are really tricky *watchs as one of his drones gets a proppeller cut off* I said watch it!

EDIT: oh and joseph. Yeah I do some mixing of rpg's into shadowrun, but I've never done D&D stuff (actually what you say sounds like what they do for Deltaware anyway, since they basically use oraclim, and magic to reduce essence cost). The RPG's I did mix in were basicly white wolf's world of darkness RPG's, expanding on the Human-Meta-Human Vampiric Virus in Shadowrun, as well as spirits and other supernatural beings.

If it wasn't that I've never been able to get that program to work, in years, I'd love to join. (Fun fact: My very very very first texture uploads were A: Cybereyes and B: A Datajack which I wore faithfully for over a year... Only having taken it off recently since I got a new skin, but I keep meaning to get Munch to add it.)
