A small amp breaker got popped at the server collocation facility we use - the equivalent of blowing a fuse in your house. Took just a few minutes to swap out and we're taking some simple steps to minimize these sorts of disruptions.
So what caused the amp breaker to pop? You! Don't all hit the /wave animation at once

Actually, the wonderfully dynamic nature of Second Life means that our machines are always chugging. Back of the napkin calculations would probably show our energy consumption is equal to 300,000 hamster wheels (now that would be one fine mess to clean up each day).
