New Forum for Goodbye / Birthday?

I got an idea.

Let's create a forum just for goodbye / happy birthday / personal announcements.

For people who hate to see them buried so quickly in a forum that gets 2 pages of threads a day, they will be able to see them easier.

For people who don't like them in this forum, they don't have to sort through them.

I think this is a great idea Hiro - some people have completely missed thank you's and happy birthday's because they got mixed into the general stuff.

Along the same lines... these "Post Icons" below the text field of actively making a post... I am wondering if they could be expanded meaningfully to include more SL-specific graphics. In addition to a birthday cake representing the obvious, we could do more with them and help to classify posts in such a way. One would have to be aware of it to utilize it, but of course, it's... *there*.

We definitely need a different forum for Happy Birthdays... especially as JUNE comes nearer! Remember how many people joined in early June as the Reuters article broke, followed up by Philip on CNNHN? That will get CHAOTIC!

Great Idea Hiro however being the minion of rational thought it would never get used appropriately.

Thing is there are so many sub forums on here that at one point or anther people slowly gravitate back to this one and boom back to square one...

Pfft, just because I was the one who actually posted the suggestion doesn't mean nothing. :)

It was clear from the poll and from previous posts that people wanted it. (Though, I suppose I could take credit for not having any grammar misakes in the post? LOL)

As for your idea, I dunno. Ideally that sounds good, but the two categories seem to intertwine very often. IMPO
