Sonkrang Day is the Thai Celebration of the New Year today!
It's crazy made water-splashing time as Thailand takes to the streets to pour water over each other! A lot of fun!

I use to love that. Except when they used water they had kept in the refrigerator. Being a foreigner I was considered a 'high priority' target. I usually spent the whole day soaked.

I used to live in southwest China where they also celebrated this. Devlin is absolutely right: being in the slightest way conspicuous was an invitation for squishy shoes.

Am in Bangkok for a business trip. Was totally soaked. Its like playing quake in RL here. Tomorrow I will be going to any departmental store to grab the biggest baddest mf**king water cannon I can find.
Its vengence time.
Anyone else in BKK?

heh i recall seeing pics where they tossed flour from windows after the water- be sure to grab some flour while youre shopping for that water gun  |
