American Idol Picks

Last nights performances by the final three were very enjoyable. It is going to be a tight race.

Vonzell Solomon

Vonzell has displayed the most growth amongst the finalists. She has very much become a charismatic and dynamic show girl. She has her eye on the prize and it's reflected in her song selection, picking tunes with high degrees of difficulty. Soulful by nature, Vonzell has great range, appears good on camera and accepts criticism with grace. On the down side, the only thing Vonzell comes up short on, is her voice. She has pitch problems and her overall singing style is not idol material. I agree with Simon, Vonzell may be headed home tonight.

Bo Bice

This guy has impressed me alot. I think Bo is a fine singer and has demonstrated versatility in his performances. Prior to last night's performances, I thought it would be Bo's last, however his second song in accapella was highly impressive, as were all of his songs. His pitch is impecable, his stage presence is natural and professional and win or lose, Bo is a star.

Carrie Underwood

The first time I heard Carrie, I was amazed, and still am. She is the polar oppposite to Vonzell. What Carrie lacks in confidence, movement and charisma she makes up in voice quality. She has deep country roots, but has performed other genre wonderfully. She has much to learn, but Carrie has no worries about the direction her career is heading.


So.....who is my prediction? I'm still hopeful of Carrie.

I think not a single American Idol finalist has come out with a single decent song, which proves it's a hype-getting machine.

I gotta go with Bo...just because he's the polar opposite of Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken.

I gotta go with Bo, also. I believe he has the star quality that is needed to become successful. Also, Bo is from my neck of the woods and he performed in my hometown.

I think Vonzell will go home tonight, but you never know with the voters.

I agree, my sister picked up a Kelly Clarkson CD last night and played it in my mom's SUV. My mom never watches American Idol, or heard of any of the previous winners.

After the first few songs, my mom stated, "She doesn't sound that great," and I agreed with her.

But I think Bo has potential. He's different from the standard pop star. I hope that after it's all over, he sticks to what he does best.

I kind of felt early on that the show decided that a rocker would win this season.

BO ROCKS MY SOCKS! hehe. In my opinion he is the best of the bunch. He has shown that he can pretty much sing anything they throw at him. He is always consistent. The accapella song he sang last night was amazing. He is also pretty much the only one who didn't drastically change his appearance to attempt to be more visually appealing to the general public. 99% of the people who get on there get a full makeover with a haircut, hair extensions, dye job...etc. Bo is Bo...he is always courteous to the band and the judges no matter what they have to say. He is the real deal and deserves to win. Carrie should have signed up for some Country Idol show and she seems a bit too fake for me. Vonzell is pretty good and will probably be in the top with Bo.
