What is Omega Games?
Omega Games is a gaming organization run by Ama Omega. It consists of Game Centers where anyone can place games they own as well as Omega Games gambling and arcade games.

Where is Omega Games?
The main location is in Taber at 75 , 210 which is along the northern border closest to Natoma. There are currently 5 other locations, in Coney, Perry, Tan, Aqua and now Teal. Landmarks to all locations can be found on the huge map in the back of the Taber Arcade.

New Thread About Coney Arcade: PLEASE READ! :)

Why Omega Games?
I love making games. That is what is fun to me in SL. I thought that a common place to go to play games would benefit players and game makers. Players can find a large variety of games at one stop, and game operators get a larger audience.

What games?
Too many to list! And the list changes on a weekly basis, if not daily. There are 18 games at the Taber Arcade alone, and only one is a duplicate (the Highroller Blackjack versus the normal Blackjack). I really need to inventory all my games but every time I do about 3 more seem to pop up the next day.

Here are the games at the Taber Arcade
(there are different games at the other arcades too!):
Blackjack and High Roller Blackjack
Jackpot Color Slots
Baccarat
Memory Match
Video Poker
Fate
Wishing Well
Gumball Machine
Yahtzee
Color Shapes Slots
Tic-Tac-Toe Slots
Pick the Cup / Find the Ball
Pick a Number
Lucky Pick
Futuristic Slot Machine
The Oracle
Wheel a Deal

How can I get in on the action?
Multiple ways!
- If you wish to own an Omega Game Center near you just let me know and I will set you up with the tools (the pads) and info about the land etc. required. No liscensing fees but there are some basic rules.

- If you have a game, simply find a red pad (square with yellow text over it) and pay it $100. The game must fit over the pad (2m*2m). Best location for games right now is the Aqua or Teal Arcades. Tan should see the expansion to 4 more booths soon as well.

- If you want to make a game but don't know how ..... Patience. I am working on multiple solutions to this. First and formost attend the begining Building, Scripting and Texturing classes. And if possible the Advanced versions of all three. I used to have a note card with help on making a game but it was so out of date as to be useless. I will be making a new one soon(tm). I also plan on offering a 5 lesson course on making a game from the ground up. Keep your eyes open for announcements on that.

Questions, Curses, Concerns and Errata
Send all questions and concerns to me, Ama Omega. Keep in mind that I do not create all games at the Arcades, but I want to hear about problems whether its my game or not. I make the best possible effort to make my games as fair as possible. They generally have a very small house edge, and I can gaurantee you no game I make cheats in any way. Most games offer a notecard with details about how the game operates as well as how to play.

I have also put up a Blog box (thanks Lordfly) at the Taber Arcade which I will update usually with ramblings about the Arcade business. If thats really borring to you or seems just like advertising then its probably not the blog for you. ;)

I had some severe problems with bugs in the game that caused me to lose $35k one day, and two days later $70k. both cases were instances of SL bugs, not bugs in my code.

I got most of my money back, short $10k but the last bug (that lost me $70k) was never resolved - I still don't know for sure how I lost that money.

Because of these incidents I took down almost all my games and am slowly rebuilding. The Arcade at Taber is nearly full again, and the one in Perry has a couple games. As these places fill up I will expand back out, but it's not going to be overnight.

As for interest in being part of Omega Games or opening your own mini-arcade/casino contact me in game. :)

If you have a game at Ama's arcade, or anywhere else in the world, I am interested in hosting it at my casino. You get full profits and no strings attached. Contact me in the game :)

New Arcade!
10-02-2003 14:08
There is a new Arcade in Coney (150,200)!

This Arcade is, unfortunatly, slightly more limited in nature than my other Arcades (for those placing games) but potentially with higher traffic.

The limitation: Your games must average 15 or less primitives per game in the Coney Arcade. This is because of the 400 primitive limit placed on the Arcade. If you have just 1 game there it must be no more than 15 primitives. If you have 2 games there they can total no more than 30 primitives (15 * 2). You may not buy a pad and leave it empty to give more prims to your other games.

The pads are the same one time fee of $100 to place your game. There are already 6 games up, more comming soon. :)

Look for some other special events and deals comming soon to the Coney Arcade.

New Games Include:
Craps
Dragon Slots
Pot O' Gold
Pirate Chest
More Blackjack and Video Poker variations
Money Square and more!

And of course the $100,000 Pharaoh's Tomb prize! $100 to raid the tomb, and each raid improves the odds of finding the treasure!
