maybe it's just me.....but with so many threads being deleted, or moved... why do we have so many political threads littering the GENERAL forum, when a political forum was set up especially for the purpose?

From: Vixen Valkyrie maybe it's just me.....but with so many threads being deleted, or moved... why do we have so many political threads littering the GENERAL forum, when a political forum was set up especially for the purpose? Easy answer - because a lot of us don't read that forum... thats why it was such a joy when it was created... it was like a spam filter on email. Unfortunately a lot of the folks that posted stuff there realized that we didn't read it - and of course it's just 'oh so friggin important to the world at large' that we *MUST* read it.. so they post the dreg here and we have to suffer it. Siggy.

I also think on some issues there is a fine line between "is this an SL wide policy type issue" and "is this an SL wide political type issue". I've really only seen one thread in General the last few days that I'd say *probably* belonged in the Politics forum. But there was enough content even in that thread that it would still be a hard call for me to say.

Perhaps the simple answer is to give the "Political Forum" a higher degree of prominence. Bold, flamboyant colours. Flashing neon arrows. Then, if it's STILL not receiving enough visitors....accept that people just are not interested in politicising SL.
