i was just wondering..

how much do you like to seperate your RL self and your SL self?

did you want everyone to wish you a happy birthday because you've revolved another year around Earths sun? or did you make a distinction between that and your Second Life.. er.. life?

personally, since everyone knows me as Cybin Monde both in-world and here on the forums, it made sense to me to use my SL birthdate instead of my RL one. i tend to think of Cybin as an entity unto himself.. controlled by "me", but still.. while he may be "me", he's "him" at the same time.

so, are you over 18? or are you under 5? (Toddler SL anyone? lol..)

I am pretty sure that my "birthday" is either the SL join date or some random date.

The way I remember it is that when I joined up, I was asked what seemed like a lot of personal questions with no explanation as to why I was being asked, so I filled it out (I think) with just whatever numbers popped into my head. I would bet that this happens a lot because folks are worried about their privacy.

I mean, you sign up for this virtual game, create a "secret" alter ego, select a "secret" password ... then they ask you what your RL birthday is??? Another one of the many, many, communication foul-ups of LL I think.

I kind of wish I had my real one up there now, but at the time it seemed like something to avoid.
