Here's a more detailed desc of the incident... according to this article, the plane crash people didn't die, but are in critical condition.

Only one accidental death amongst all the thirty-five thousand people is actually pretty low, considering the fact that they are in a pretty hostile environment and many of them are using a lot of controlled substances to enhance their stay.
