I was thinking about something after reading the thread about men's clothing. My shop has been open a few days now and I've had a handful of (super awesome neato keen!) customers. But! Despite the fact that a lot of my stuff is unisex, I believe /all/ my customers so far have been women. I currently have a hockey jersey for sale where you can get your own SL name on the back and a number of your choice. I've got a few more male-only items in my head, but before I put a ton of work into it, it would be good to see guys buying some of the unisex stuff. I believe the lack of men's stuff may be cyclical. Women buy more clothes, so designers make stuff for women. Men don't shop as much, clothing isn't made for them. It's all about buying power. I will continue to make unisex stuff, but if the male-specific stuff doesn't sell, well, I'll have to focus my efforts elsewhere. Just business sense On the same note: If I'm mistaken and my unisex stuff is /not/ appealing to guys, I'd like to know that too. I'm in the process of making golf shirts, button-ups and khakis which would all be unisex. Pants! That's the main thing. Aside from good old fashioned jeans and a pair of basic khakis, what other kind of pants would be welcome? At the moment, I'm working on a pair of dark pleated khakis, an untucked button-up shirt, and a golf shirt. Yuki ============================= Visit Yuki's Second Style! Hehe, an addendum. Not that hockey jerseys are male-only. More like targeted towards guys to buy. It actually looks kind of neat tight. More like a different kind of jersey than hockey.

Maybe the shopping pattern is the same in SL as in RL, the women are buying the men's clothes for them!

Well, I have boxes of clothes I haven't even opened yet, but I will be over there to take a look; I'm just as bad in SL as I am in RL, and I feel a buying urge coming on! I don't know, I've been wearing the same ducky shirt for the last 6 months. Maybe it's time for a change?
Nah!
