Odds of Jackson sex abuse conviction near even SANTA MARIA, Calif. (Reuters) - With jurors deliberating behind closed doors, the odds of Michael Jackson being convicted of child molestation are almost even, according to a popular Internet betting site. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20050609/od_nm/jackson_odds_dc;_ylt=Alzf8TzTd.1sne9V6pXlkuQSH9EA;_ylu=X3oDMTBiMW04NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUlDo you think Michael Jackson will be found guilty of child molestation (not if he did it or not)? Guilty Not Guilty Hung Jury No Opinion

Unfortunately he will be found not guilty, and the jury has already decided this, but it's standard proceedure to during high-profile cases to keep the public intrigued by a long deliberation so that their books, and the made-for-tv movie sell better, afterwards.

He will be found not guilty because of his celebrity status, not because he is innocent...just like OJ.

From: ZsuZsanna Raven He will be found not guilty because of his celebrity status, not because he is innocent...just like OJ. Well..and the fact that most of the prosecutions witnesses are idiots. In my opinion, he is guilty, and there is plenty of evidence to point to at least enough to get him thrown in jail for a time and his children taken away, but the witnesses bumbled, got confused and fibbed too much.

He will be found Not Guilty and he will be treated as if he is by people. To many People in the US forget the saying, Innocent till Proven Guilty by a Court of law. OJ is Innocent, that does not mean he didn’t do it. Michael is Innocent at this time even if it comes out Guilty because at this time he has note been proven Guilty.

Well..innocent in a court of law yes...however something tells me not so innocent in his true actions. We don't really forget. The O.J. Simpson case was enough to keep it all straight in our minds for years. O.J. + big money lawyers vs. bumbling police work, soft prosecution team, fame hungry judge and idiotic jury = innocent....

I hold true. Innocent till proven guilty in a court of law. That does not mean he didn't do it but I would treat OJ as a innocent man. After all if I was in his shoes and didn't kill my ex wife and found not Guilty I would want to be treated as innocent. It's up to the prosecutor to prove the case not the defense to prove it untrue.

C'mon! This is America, rich people don't go to jail here....they are far too better than us to be convicted of anything....except insider trading.

My vote goes for hung jury. All you have to do is convince one boob on the jury that he is innocent and whala... you gotcher self a hung jury my friends.

Nice point and all true-technically-but if I found myself in a room alone with OJ I'd still try to hide all the knives.

He is guilty of something, but not all the stuff they are accusing him of. Why aren't the parents on trial for child neglect? They are people responsible for this whole situation. They were willing to peddle their children to get what they wanted. They should be on trial, ASAP. Who cares if OJ killed Nicole. She was a no good coke head who was a terrible mother. She got what she deserved, and maybe the Columbians killed her because she owed money. I'm glad OJ got off for all the innocent people that end up on death row. I would rather 20 OJ's go free than one man spend 20 years on death row for a crime he didnt commit. I think the most amusing thing is Pete Rose went to jail for like nothing, he totally got the shaft. MJ and OJ have committed some of the worst crimes possible and are nto likely to spend a day in jail ever. Woot criminal justice! And look at Martha, they convicted her of justing being too damn good and made an example out fo her because they werent able to nail the Enron dues quick enough, she went to jail for nothing also. It is nice when the killer and rapist go free but the white colar criminal are behind bars. Ahh sweet blind justice.

From: someone She got what she deserved That is a very sad statement. I had little respect for you before. I have absolutely zero now. Okay, you win one point back for defending Martha. Michael Jackson will be found Not Guilty because the prosecution failed miserably in proving their case.

They destroy other peoples lives, and they destroy their families and there is no one to blame but themselves. They will never get a free pass from me.

From: Eboni Khan Sorry, I have no sympathy for drug addicts. They destroy other peoples lives, and they destroy their families and there is no one to blame but themselves. They will never get a free pass from me. A drug addict can concievably clean up their act. Can get help, and try to make amends for their actions. Once you murder someone, you can never ever undo that. So, a murderer may be just giving someone "what they deserve," and that's "passable" but being addicted to drugs isn't? I realize, Eboni that that is not exactly what you said... but what I guess I am trying to understand here is how being addicted to drugs means you deserve to be brutally murdered. My father was once addicted to them ... my father went to prison for manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine. I'm sure that a lot of lives were negatively affected by choices that he made above and beyond the negative impact on my own life, the life of my mother... and he has to live with those things on his conscience. He has, however, realized the things he did were wrong, and has spent the past 8 years he's been out of prison trying to make amends to me, to my mother, and to the people whose lives he affected negatively. So, just to be sure I understand - my father went to prison, paid his debt to society, cleaned up his act, but if he had been murdered in cold blood back then, well, big whoop -he would have been getting what he deserved? Forgive me if I still believe people can change - that is, of course, unless you put an end to their life before they have that chance.
