I haven't been online much lately because I reached a critical start-up time with my business and I've been short on time, but....
Tomorrow is my very first baking day in my new artisan bread bakery. The wood-fired oven is heating, the ingredients are all on hand, the equipment is all ready for its inaugural use and I'm left to sit and ponder the moment.
Second Life has been invaluable to me in realizing this real-life dream. When I was mentally drained, I came to SL and created things and felt rejuvinated. When I was overworked, I came to SL and played and laughed. When I was discouraged, I came to SL and poured out my fears and worries to my SL friends. When I was excited, I came to SL to celebrate. But most of all, I have come to SL over and over to be inspired.
I am inspired by the creativity, by the intelligence and wit of the members, by your open-mindedness and generous and helpful spirits.
Sometimes I honestly wonder if I would have made it through the past year in such a good frame of mind without Second Life.
So thank you Lindens. Thank you Second Lifers. You have made a difference in my life, and for that, I am grateful.
