Aces,
If you go to SLuniverse there are a few tutorials on clothing there. But, the way I learned to make clothing was first to learn how to make dollz. I did that for a long time before I found SL. There are hundreds upon hundreds of tutorials out there about making dollz and I just applied what I learned from them to here -- except on a bigger scale. I think the best bet, though, is to do a search for 3d texturing tutorials. The same principles apply to clothing, really, you just do it within the clothing template "frame" if you will. I think that the forums would be well served by a texturing forum. I've said this often, but for some reason, I must be the only person who wants to see such a forum where we can post tutorials for the larger community. For instance, I have a cool trick for making buttons look real even if they are hand drawn -- but I don't want to write a tutorial unless I'm able to present it to the largest possible community . Make sense? Maybe, when my thesis is finally mailed off, I'll make a little clothing tutorial site and post some stuff. Anyway, back to you! Try starting with basic 3d texturing tutorials and go from there. And check out what is at SLuniverse. Zana _____________________

Hi Aces
It can be a bit confusing to get started with skinning and making clothes if you've never done it in other 3d apps.I think a good way to get started is to take the clothing templates and color code them somehow (color in different polygons with different colors). Then take your newly colored templates and upload them into SL. Make underwear out of them and wear them on your av. Then take some screenshots to use as reference. This will give you a better understanding of what part of the template ends up on what part of the av. Once that makes sense to you it's simply a matter of painting your clothing or skin textures using the templates as guides so you get your details in the right spots. Hope that helps. Feel free to give me a yell in game if you need extra help. _____________________

Rally, Aces. If you need help with PMS it's best to talk to a doctor.
