Generally speaking, the Police Blotter takes the titles Residents append to their names at face value. If your amended name is telling the world that you’re Sexy Slim Kato, Worm Farmer Carla Weaverm or or even Evil Undead Katie Domino, the Police Blotter is going to take you at your word. After all, what does anyone else know about your worm-related habits or dead/undead status? We’ll just have to trust you.

The fact that Slim might not actually be Sexy doesn’t cause any real problems, but titles can be misleading in a way that runs afoul of the rules. While ‘Linden’ has surfaced in title-form previously – we’ve seen "Linden Wannabe" and the ever-so-hurtful "Linden Hater" – it hadn’t previously been used in a way that was meant to deceive. Recently, however, a few bad apples attempted to pass themselves off as ersatz-Lindens by applying that hallowed name as a title. Veteran Residents know a genuine Linden moniker appears only as a last name, but the potential to use this ploy to take advantage of newer players is something we take very seriously. The parties involved received five day suspensions, and anyone else planning a similar Linden homage – this includes using titles like Lindan, Lindun, Governor, or any other variation designed to confuse -- can expect the same.

People who take their clothes off in PG sims seldom have a title that announces their intentions. The Police Blotter would suggest the following titles for this week’s initiates to the Police Blotter Naked News: “Streaker”, for the fellow seen running away from teaching area in Perry, “Pant Hater” for the gent in Boardman who refused to put his back on, and “Dirty-minded Lout” for the Resident who interrupted an event with his pathetic and vulgar come-ons. Not only would such titles give other residents a chance to steer clear of those who are unable to decipher the meaning of a simple two-letter combination (PG!), but it would provide the Blotter with opportunity to apply the two day suspensions before anyone else was forced to endure such nonsense.

Statistics: Eleven complaints of harassment, intimidation, or vandalism, eight complaints about assorted rule violations, five instances of inappropriate content on a PG sim, one underage resident, and two complaints of an undisclosed nature. As a result of these complaints and our subsequent investigations, six residents were suspended and nine warnings were issued.
