I am preparing some content for an upcoming SL website at SLUniverse.com, and would like to do some content on the current themed communities in SL. Do very many of them remain? I have spent so much time building in Federal that I am not actually all that familiar with other sims for the most part. Any information that could be provided would be most appreciated!

Thanks :)

North continent projects
---------------------------------
Kazenojin: Alive and well; docking ring is in flux
Americana: R.I.P.
Little Tokyo: Still there, looking a little sparse these days

South continent projects
---------------------------------
Shanghai or whatever: Linden-sponsored 100%
Dark Wood: Alive and well, but their sim is a little light at the moment; currently focusing on DarkLife project
Nexus Prime: Alive and well; their sim is in flux all the time but the original build just north of the border is the same as ever
LindenWorld: Not going away any time soon, currently gearing up for second incarnation

Taber Tudor Village.. more of an organic community, and not supported in any way by the Lindens..

Thank you for the info :) They don't have to be Linden supported themed areas - I am also interested in areas where players have grouped together to build a community, even without Linden support.

Huns - could you post where all those are located?
I'm not sure where most are located and I don't think I have landmarks.

Thanks!

Little Tokyo is in the Sage sim.
Oak Grove is actually two themes. Wild West Town, a formerly linden sponsored project which went under very fast, and native american village, which went under recently. Now Oak Grove is part of the racetrack, sorta.
