One to not notice that the light is out.
One to claim that their lightbulb is working fine.
One to state that light bulb users need to turn off their firewall in order to have light.
One to suggest that you contact lightbulb support.
One to ignore the mail to lightbulb support.
One to suggest that you contact lightbulb support again as the first request may have gotten lost.
One to suggest that you submit a bug report.
One to close that bug report after the next point release with a form letter saying "if the lightbulb still needs replacing after the latest release, please resubmit your report".
One to recommend that you post in "hotline to linden".
One to respond to the hotline post with an answer regarding snow tires.
One to state that it is not a lightbulb but a "light producing electrical network device platform".
One to suggest that you need to upgrade your light socket.
One to ask you to explain the "lightbulb concept" and then take your lightbulb.
One to blame the lack of light on General Electic.
One to recommend that you unscrew the light bulb and reinsert it.
One to ask if you can open your refrigerator.
One to say that it is their policy not to discuss lightbulbs.
One to state that lightbulb support has been deferred until a future release.
One to move your post asking other lightbulb users for assistance to off-topic.
One to send you a disciplinary warning saying that you have violated forum rules in some unspecified way.
One to suggest that you make a "feature suggestion" requsting replaceable lightbulbs.
One to ask you to create a proposition for "lightbulb support"
One to mark the proposition acknowledged/completed while the room is still dark.
One to claim that you should contact the lightbulb merchant.
One to state that you should consider yourself lucky to be one of the hip future-looking lightbulb owners at all.
One to claim that lightbulbs are "content" and thus not of interest to them.
One to state that lightbulbs are "not content" and thus not of interest to them.
One to claim that lightbulbs are very complicated.
One to deny that you ever possesed a lightbulb.
One to add that if they replaced your lightbulb they'd have to replace everyones thus cannot.
One to suggest that you talk to your neighbor to ask them to turn down the darkness on their parcel.
One to tell you to abuse report your neighbor when they respond unkindly to the request.
One to state that your neigbor has every right to set their darkness as high as they want.
One to gloat about shiny new quicktime support and hope you forget about lightbulbs.
One to contradict all the preceding recommendations.
One to explain the community standards to the lightbulb in hope it will relight itself.
One to state that lightbulbs won't work properly until Havoc 2.

And to think all this trouble could have been prevented by a simple llSetPrimitiveParams([PRIM_MATERIAL, PRIM_MATERIAL_LIGHT]);

This would have been funny if you'd stopped before it was patently obvious you're just ranting. :(

Thank you, I was hoping someone would chime in with presumptuous critique. :)

You haven't been keeping up with the technical bulletins. This was covered a month or so ago.

Technically, the term is "lamp."

Ah, perhaps you missed this thread .

Humor is often thinly veiled anger.

*shrugs, having waded through very boring thread*

Really Hiro? Well in or out of the context you have decided to place it in, it is still one of the funniest posts I have read in a long time. And your comment came across as peculiarly humourless...

:p

Humor is often thinly veiled anger.
Which means that sometimes it is something else. Damn, I love these logic competitons!

But don't feel too bad, because just like in the special olympics, everyone here is a winner!

No, you still have to consummate your longing. :)

lightbulbs - the home game
09-16-2005 13:20
One to put your account on hold for not paying for a light bulb you don't have.

Everyone can now play from the comfort of your very own home or office. Extra points added if you can correctly guess the motivation of the player posting above you.

I guess the previous poster umm... has unrequited homosexual voyeuristic desires. :p

Ah! Good to see LL customer support maintaining it's usual exceptional level of service.

You have to laugh - otherwise you'd cry...

Hee hee, in the help wanted link on the lindenlab.com website linked to in introvert's post, the official word on whether Second Life is a game or not is made clear.

From: lindenlab.com
Second Life is so cutting-edge it defies genre classification. It's a game, a tool, a playground, a nation, and nearly everything in it is built by its residents.

Hey! You're not playing by the rules!

My guess is that... umm you were raised in a houshold where expression of sadness was shunned and devalued. :p

Wow! this is more fun than Calvinball!
