It was here just a short while ago. Anyone seen it?
Maybe I'm mistaken. I mean, if it's not here, it couldn't have existed, nor could it have (even if locked) born mute witness to the inconsistancies of the forum moderation here.
Nevermind, forget you've seen this.

Skully there is no logical explaination. This is a clearly a problem beyond the grasp of science as we know it.

Ha! You're awesome! I would kiss your feet, if I weren't so afraid of girl-germs.

From: Jesse Linden This thread is off topic, not to mention flame bait. The missing thread being referred to here is being reviewed by the forum moderators.... Sup Jesse. 1. It would be off-topic, except that it was seeking out what happened to a suddenly-vanished thread in the General forum. Since the original thread was in the General forum, it seemed to make sense to put this thread there. Even if I hadn't put it in the General thread, I still wouldn't have put it in "off-topic". I'd have put it in "Classifieds", because after all the title of this thread included an offer for recompense....."Reward offered". I will concede that the tone of the thread was "off the cuff", however. 2. Flame bait? It might have been flame bait, if I'd left the original title of the thread intact; "Reward offered for Missing thread: Cath Cotton fights with EVERYONE." This could have been construed as a personal attack, and doubtless would have been reported as such, despite the fact that it pretty accurately describes the content of the missing thread. 3. Google sez: "Flamebait: A posting intended to trigger a flame war, or one that invites flames in reply. See also troll." Doesn't the disappearance of a lively and active thread in a forum invite flames in reply? If the thread is going to come back, why not give the forum mods a tool to leave a thread's header visible, but its body off-limits while it's being reviewed. If that's too difficult to implement, howabout a bookmark, a placeholder for it? When a thread is locked, the message conveyed is of transparent moderation; "This is unacceptable, but we have nothing to hide. It's closed, and similiar situations will be dealt with similiarly." When one simply disappears, ESPECIALLY if it was receiving a lot of views and active participation, the message that is conveyed is different; "We'd rather you hadn't seen the information in this thread, so we deleted it. Something happened in it that we don't approve of, so we erased it. Similiar situations will be dealt with in the same way, and you may only anticipate those situations in a very general sense, because of course we delete things that we disapprove of."

From: Jake Reitveld his Bass with be tanned? Is this a fish story? No. His bass will be tuned, and then he will play the theme from Seinfeld.

But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. Help the economy some, and stop being so damn useless you stupid bucket of bolts! R2 is 1,000 times more useful than your tin man ass, and he's shaped like a salt and pepper shaker FFS!
