I snapped this pic while driving through a small town in East Texas. I was afraid to investigate, any ideas on what it is?

Loki - it could indicate a gathering for people in the case of a natural disaster such as a hurricane. (At least I hope so). You did not say what part of Texas, but here in Florida we do have signs that indicate hurricane shelters - so that could be it.

It could also be pointing to a Recycling or hazardous waste collection area.

OR

It could be pointing to a Citizen Reprogramming Facility.

It seems to be a sign directing people to a drop off point for old, used or soiled citizens.

If it was pointing the same direction as that Pentescostal Church sign in the background I would have had a really good joke, but alas, it's not. Therefore I assume it is in fact a Soylent Green factory.

Yanno my brother-in-law got me that movie for my 30th birthday... it had been so long since I had seen it originally that I had forgotten what it was about... I didn't realize until I watched it again that he was playing a joke on me! LOL

East TX? Possibly around Tyler? How about a left over sign from the shuttle disaster. They were asking citizens to return any debris they picked up. Just a thought...
