I've noticed after my pay day my bobus drops... significantly. I went from 1732 boinus to 632... why the 1.1k drop?

Because you have low taxes and your last tax day brought you closer to $3,500.
Stipend and bonus only gives you money to cover your taxes.
The exception is if you are poor (have less than $3,500 cash) then stipend + bonus can help you become not poor. But they will never give you enough money to take you past the $3,500 mark.
