Mine definitely is SLBoutique and was midnight city.

What's yours?

I don't shop a lot since I'm generally a hermit, but when I do I love HoseQueen and Zyrra's remodelled Panache shops. Aesthetically pleasing, open, easy to navigate, and great stuff.

I don't shop for Second Life, I download it from the server.

I have put my things on SLExchange, and so far I'm thrilled with the way that works. I will get around to the others as well, eventually.

Shopping on the web...

I love SLBoutique when I'm not in game, because I can send gifts to friends without them being required to be registered. I wish SLExchange would implement this too. I like both web shopping options. In game so many fun places to shop :D

*hugs*

Its funny, I was never much of a shopper for most of the Second Life, until I started up SLBoutique. Now that I'm on the site so much with adding new features, checking on status, etc... I find myself CONSTANTLY buying things that look neat! I'll never turn a profit, its too much like being a kid in a candy store!

:-)

It depends on what I am looking for (shoes, animations, hair, skins etc.) or if I am looking for something by a particular designer. Luckily managing three stores and SLB I usually know where to find things.

Toast and Nylon have very beautiful stores, Nephilaine has amazing and exotic clothes, and I can always count on Jonquille to have something new.

Midnight City for all my favorite designers (Lost, Starley, Mistress Midnight, Launa Fauna, Torrid)--because they're all right there, and Midnight City is Amazing. Illusion Island for Janie Marlowe/Mischief Designs/Tickled Pink. Also Nyte n' Day Designs is great. For furniture--Home Depoz, Arda's, and Xandi's store. For textures--Textures R' Us and Textures Unlimited. Have been shopping a lot on SLBoutique also, because teleports were so messed up all week and it's soooo easy to spend money that way, lol.

I really need to check out the new Midnight City. I've heard only good things about it. Always good to hear about shopping experiences that are aesthetically pleasing and immersive.

I was in Midnight City around the Fourth of July, and I don't know if it was the "old" one or the "new" one (and I'm not sure it was a few weeks ago, either, it might have been just a week and a half ago), but I noticed that it looked totally real! With some lights on in the buildings and some not, and whatnot. I didn't stay at that party long. But the place looked very good!

My favorite place to shop is the Beverly Hills sim, run by Amy Stirling. I find that every time I go there, I end up buying something, and I have fun just walking around. Definitely an upscale sim - the streets and store builds are gorgeous and meticulously planned out, and it has what many shopping areas are lacking - a clear map and an intelligent layout. It also has a lot of high quality vendors I don't normally see in other malls, which I like as I get sick of seeing the same names all the time.

It has always reminded me of Briana Dawson's Galleria Skywalk, which was my previous favorite shopping sim. The original Galleria in Aqua definitely raised the bar for what a mall could be, and its influence is still seen on a lot of projects that have followed.

I forgot, I also liked shopping in Manhattan.

Where I live, in Azure Islands, Nexus Nash and Adam Zaius are forging ahead buying new Sims and doing brilliant things with them. It's very exciting to watch this progress.

One of the Sims is devoted to islands, surrounded by water. You buy your own island and dock your boats and things in your own territorial water. Then there's what looks to be a sort of monorail in the sky, which connects my Sim from the boardwalk, going across the bay to another Sim, which is going to be the commercial area. There are shops there now available for lease, purchase, or whatever other options, I'm not sure.

Anyway, it's all quite breathtaking!
