Exit Stage Left

To my SL friends and SL Canadians members:

I am leaving SL for the time being. Last summer I also took a break, precipitated by a catastrophic hardware failure and some real life issues. I came back at the urging of one of my friends( hi Syd ) and embarked on a grand project ‘Canadiana’ Well, RL rears it’s ugly head again and with a major increase in my work commitments I had to abandon finishing the project at about 90% completion. Although it is in my inventory I can not say if or when it will ever rez again. It is unfortunate but I just can not justify paying all the tier fees on my own, when I will not be able to enjoy the build myself. In the past couple of days, I have had one person ask and one person demand for their contributions to the project back. While the ‘demand’ was only for L$50 it was a little disheartening. I have paid probably close to $1000US in land fees since I started this game, mostly for builds that were for public enjoyment. While I did not mind paying the money, I did not expect to have people demand their L$ back when the project was no more. SL is never static, anyone who has been here for any length of time knows that.

So that’s my story if anyone cares to know where I have disappeared to. If you have contributed to any of my projects and also want your L$ back send me an IM. I have kept a very detailed list for a planned thank you list in the finished project. If you do not want your L$ back, I thank you for contributing. I still have about ¾ of the land for Canadiana in a land management group with a friend I know I can trust, and is willing to pay the tier fees. Maybe one day I will drag it all back out.

I will still pop in from time to time to build something silly for an hour or two, or to catch an event. I hope that the other members of the SL Canadians take it upon themselves to wave the flag a bit as well. Until the time that I find the time to play a bit more or my next great inspiration,

I stumbled on the build a while back and enjoyed the time I spent there. Was looking forward to its completion.

Perhaps one day ....

Sorry that you are leaving SL for the summer Rynox ..... and right before Canada Day too. I had a BLAST at your Canada Day Event last year even when you insisted on streaming 'Stompin' Tom Conners' tunez.
