Since I started helping out on the forums a few weeks ago, I've been starting to use PMs a lot more when communicating with people.
I've also been hitting the dang "Your message is too big (over 1000 characters)" wall too often. And I've been hearing other residents having the same issue.
There was no real technical reason for having that limit set so low. It was just left like that when the forums were set up.
So, in the spirit of preventing "part 1 of 2" and "part 2 of 2" insanity when sending PMs, I have now increased the limit to 3000 characters.
