There is lots of land going to waste on Natoma, where the Newbies used to come in. there is almost nothing there, it is like a wasteland, but almost all of the land is owned by Lindens. If there is a Linden project going up there, that's fine, but otherwise, a perfectly fine and relatively empty sim in the middle of the world is going to waste.

there are also other places in the world where large amounts of land are owned by Lindens and are not being used. Varney, for instance...

Well, there is a LOT of land that is Linden owned in world, and I have asked Peter Linden about it. The land I was asking about was in front of my own land, and I wanted to so I could expand my building, but the Lindens were eventually going to make it a road. Since many roads lead to the land you are talking about, maybe they are making some sort of city center there eventually? Well, I dunno, but, that would be kinda cool  |

We hear ya. We're probably going to clear up some land soon (a week or less) in Natoma, Clara, and maybe Varney.
Also, we might be adding some more sims to the grid someday soon...

what kinda sucks is the everchanging start area , alot of people want to biuld near that region when they have shops and stuff to grab the new people while they are still new in hopes of makeing a few sales before they realize they can do it themselves...hehe
not to mention start are is a high trafic area for all for one reason or another...meet and greet card exchange ect... thus haveing a local shop to get a coffee or sword is always a bonus to the players ... with that start area moving you go from being in the MOST trafic area to the least exposed area after spending a hella longtime biulding your place ...
When will the start area be located in a place of permanance ?

Rivn actually they already have the Sim where newbies will start off, and it will be a newbie-only sim. Then (I believe) they teleport into the main SL world where we all live. The newbie Sim is called "Eden" and believe it or not, somehow our friend Eve Cartier was taken to this place by accident. Yes, EVE made it to EDEN. Strange huh?  So eventually yes, there will be a Sim which will permenantly hold the newbie spawns, but you won't be able to build there so don't bother trying Although I hear the place looks pretty or something?... hope I get to see it!
