this is un-effing-believable. Apparently, if you vote for american idol, you automatically sign up to receive texts from them... voting costs 10 cents, each text you get from them? 30! and you get 4 a month...

most customers see "Oh, a buck extra! no biggie"... but a buck extra x tens of millions of voters = HUGE scam

I always use the absentee ballots....even though the hanging chad thing sometimes screws the vote

Bo is one of the brothers from Dukes of Hazard. If I made the General Lee, I wonder how many assholes would call me racist?

Sad I was a Duke of Hazard fan but never got the flag on the car thing. I use to hate that. I am also in to going to the local races and see people with the US and the confederat flag on there car. I for one think they are just stupied. That still does not tell me why any one in there right mind likes Amirican Idal or (The UK version).

The confederate flag is a symbol of southern pride. It was also prominently on the state flag of Georgia until 2001. Just because the North won, doesn't mean the other half is wrong for being southern. The Civil War wasn't fought exclusively to own slaves, though it was a smart move on the North's part to tout emancipation in order to get more front line troops. Does that make the North somehow more noble?

Hell, the Portuguese were big into slave trade but people don't call them racist just because they are Portuguese. So why is it wrong to have southern pride?

I know I'm probably going to be sorry for posting this because it will lead to an argument about swastikas. Meh. :: pisses into the wind ::

Actually, you have a point. Everyone I've ever known who had a confederate flag lived in the country. But somehow I think it has more to do with not getting your ass kicked by ignorant city people standing up for the "greater good" than country people being uneducated (not that you said that - just saying).
