Have you ever met an av in second life who turned out to be someone you knew in your first life? If so, how did you figure it out, and how long did it take? What's your story?
I asked this about a year ago when the world was much smaller, and I while people had RL pals that played SL, I don't think anyone posted that they'd met someone in game only to find out later that this was someone they knew.

Yes. Oddly it took about 2 minutes in the welcome area. My personality and name makes it easy for anyone who knows me to spot me anywhere. The person I met was a person I know in RL who lives here in Chicago and was a fellow blogger. Once 3 years ago she gave me a cat, a cat who turned out to be mental unbalanced and a killer. Good Times

There are some I had "known of" before SL using their "biological names" and were involved in previous projects, even software I used, and vice-versa -- a real hoot when I made the connections.
Some in SL had heard my techno music before, and wondered if I was the same Torley. I replied in the affirmative.
