I sometimes get strange emails about certain stocks... non of which I ever asked to get. I never open them but sometimes look through to see what the heck its about. Occasionally there is at the end of the email, an odd addition of 'words' strung together to almost ... but no... it makes no sense. My questions: do you get this stuff... and what the hell is it??

Those words are to throw off email filters.

Many effective email filters use a Bayesian probability function to determine if the emails you are getting are good or bad. The determination is based on specific words that existed in emails that you classified as 'good'.

There's some good filters out there, and I use the free, open source, cross platform POPFile (http://popfile.sourceforge.net/). With it I achieve close to a 99% accuracy rate in classification even though I get over 300 emails a day, the vast majority of which are spam.

Yahoo, even though they blow in most other aspects, seems to have a pretty damn good email spam filter built in. Nothing 3rd party needed...

WTF is C3PO supposed to be USEFUL for anyway, besides whining? Stupid piece of scrap metal would be more useful recycled as a toaster. But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. Help the economy some, and stop being so damn useless you stupid bucket of bolts! R2 is 1,000 times more useful than your tin man ass, and he's shaped like a salt and pepper shaker FFS!
