A player just quit the game and gave me all of his money... and I wasn't even nice to him at all - really! So that got me thinking ... in case anyone else wants to quit the game, I'm making this offer to accept your money too. IM me ingame before leaving; You'll be missed, but take solace in knowing that I promise to spend your money wisely and only on the most frivolous items of the finest quality. ... now i'm off to shop

oh, and for those not quitting the game. Hi! SL is fun fun fun, why didn't you tell me about it sooner?

It's funny but when I first found Second Life I was already playing Star Wars Galaxies (and was very bored of it by this point) and I'd amassed a massive amount of money in there just be having my mining machines running and logging in every few days to top them up with power, emptying the hoppers and putting the materials up for sale etc. Anyway, the last time I logged in, I just picked the first new player I came across, and dropped all my money and possessions on them.

So it does happen :)

And people said there were no new business' left to develop in Second Life ..

Id suggest you diversify and offer to accept goodies from people leaving as well.

hadn't thought of that...

ATTN ALL quitters, this newbie has a nearly empty inventory ready to fill with your unwanted items. Will store fine quality merchandise (only) for low low fees - or just Gimmeh all your stuff (and money too, don't forget the money)

Now you just need to collect inventory - then sell it all at yard sales

I got dropped about a thousand L$ from a player when I first started in November of 2003. She was leaving for There and claimed it was a better metaverse in every way. It was really nice of her, but I tried There, and disagreed with her metaverse assessment. I don't recall who is was... so if you're back in SL... REMIND ME! :-)

That reminds me of the time some person came by and dumped $10,000L on me because he was leaving and I was the first person to say hi. That was pretty nice :o

IGE sent me L$5,000 by accident my first week in game. Was a great help starting out and taught me to never use IGE at the same time.

Really just want the money - holding a yard sale sounds too much like work.
