Greetings to my fellow SL-izens,

A few of you may remember me; I'm the Lakitu on the cloud that loves classic gaming. I used to own a castle which you may have heard of called The Mushroom Kingdom. In the almost five months that I've been gone, I was shocked and heartened to learn that the kingdom still stands in Davenport, thanks to one Salazar Jack and, of course, the fans that have petitioned to keep it there.

After some time away, I've decided to return to Second Life more-or-less full-time. Much has changed in this time, but the theme remains the same. I notice that someone learned how to script a Yahtzee gambling game. I only say this because there's no fewer than 50 quadrillion of the damned things in the events calendar. Also, I've heard about this FIC thing, but I'll learn more about it when I find a conversation about it that doesn't degenerate into childish namecalling.

I notice there are lots of empty buildings, 10 dwell malls and unfathomable builds from the mind of a genius or the truly mad. So, I guess things haven't changed all that much, after all.

But I digress...
Amidst all this, I plan to repurchase (from the gracious Salazar Jack) the land that I need to clean up the kingdom and make some long overdue revisions that will keep it current and offer something new for longtime fans. While the details have yet to be worked out, I'm still working hard (on paper) and hope to get working in-world real soon.

Among the things that you can be certain will happen, is: More music, more replicas, more pc & video game history, more interactivity, and more of everything that's made the Mushroom Kingdom a popular spot in Second Life.

Thanks, Panda. I'm really excited about flexing my creative muscles again. I'm going to be turning my attention toward more ways to use Second Life as a sort of teaching tool. Phase I of that attempt was my Computer History 1975 exhibit on the third floor. While I like it, there is much room for improvement the next time that I start another history project.

Hope to see you at the Kingdom soon! :)

Yes, the computer history section was the best! I am not a big computer guy, so I learned a lot while still having fun.

It was like the Discovery Channel with sex balls only a sim away! :D

i may not have done much to experience the Mushroom Kingdom, but i have been by there a few times and always smile with sentimentality.

when going buy the MK, i always try to show anyone who's around what a cool build it is. i look forward to your new revisions and showing them off as well.

So, my nemesis has returned. I still haven't forgotten the day that you threw that hammer down from your cloud onto my head. I will have my vengence Goodwrench. Mark my words.

Hey there, Ulrika! :) Don't you worry, I've sworn off hammers and spikey-red balls. Really, I have... One day at a time, ya know? I can quit anytime I want...

I am a Lakitu. I live in the clouds. ;)

Its good to have you back! The MK has always been an inspiration to me. I've made 7 classic arcade games so far. They're playable at my ROYAL ARCADE in Jiminy (186,87). I can't wait to see what the MK Mark II brings. :)
