Hi,
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question and i've searched the forums for an answer to this question.
When u delete a calling card, why is it i'm still getting notifications "so and so is online, so and so is offline..." over and over and I really couldn't care less if they are or not. Its distracting when i'm in the middle of zooming in on something i'm working on and have to put up with these constant popups. Is there anyway to stop that from happening.?
Thanks

On-Line Notifications.
This is located Under Edit, Preferences, at the bottom of the first screen that appears.
All you do is UN-check the On-line Notifications box, click Apply then click OK.
No more popups everytime one of your calling cards logs in or out.

I'd really like to see both calling cards and friends lists completely eliminated. First off, it would remove a HUGE, HUGE load on the asset server system with all these nonsense cards we all keep from people we talked to once a year ago...and haven't seen since. Any time someone opens an unsorted calling cards folder with 1000+ cards, just think; that's a query that needs to return 1000 rows from the database and/or asset systems, and user system for online status, and for what, really?
I'd like to see a white list / black list system with privacy replace them. Basically, have everyone on the level playing field. When you WHITE LIST someone, it allows them to track you on the map, and they will be notified when you log in.
When you BLACK LIST some one, they will always see you as offline.
This would change the behavior to be more like "GRANT MODIFY RIGHTS" in the way that you have to actively offer someone the ability stalk you in world, and then have them accept. Of course, you can black list any one at any time, and not have to worry about them being able to see if you're online in the FIND system or see you log in.
This would reduce asset load, get rid of tons of un-necessary inventory, and eliminate the feeling of having to say "yes" to friendship with someone you've just met as to avoid getting off on the wrong foot. The "Find" system works just fine for contacting people. Also, many older social players find themselves swamped upon log in; I put in my profile not to IM me within 15 minutes of seeing me log in, yet people constantly do, because they see "FlipperPA has logged in", and bam, as soon as I'm in, I've got not just 15 offline IMs to go through... but 5-6 "Hey what's up!" type IMs. It gets exhausting.
I'd really like to have a invisibility mode so I can log in without ANYONE knowing I'm online. Then I might actually be able to get some scripting done!

I wholly agree with Flipper.
Ditch cards and friends. We'll even get by with nothing but FIND until the list code is working. Just get that load of The Asset System All Hail The Central Asset System and remove the stigma of refusing and cancelling cards.
Then, when y'all get around to it, implement Black and White lists.
Is there a proposal for this? My votes are unassigned.
