Hello? Linden Labs? Users are calling. What are you guys doing? We haven't heard from you in a long while? Are you guys/gals even listening to us anymore, or you distracted with something?

Well technicly its Linden Lab, one Lab, not multiple :P

But yes, it seems rare to get Linden comments on anything as of late.

Hopefully thats a good sign that they're busy with new features, like Mules.

They're still recovering from E3. Give 'em a few weeks.

I imagine the combination of substantial growth, the upcoming 1.4 release, the Havok development, the E3 show has caused them to go quiet. They have answered a few things eelectively here and there, but many times not until we have drawn substantial blood from each other first. Mind you, they have plenty of time to delete threads (notice your thread about LL and favoritism disappeared), but not to respond. The last time there was this much radio silence was before the 1.2 announcement. I hope something equally as depressing is not waiting in the wings, and that they are just busy.

As a member of a group that holds a private sim, if thats true, no one told me. :P

I can only think of one thing that would be beneficial to only priviate sim owners and that would be stuff like groups being able to own a sim and such like that. Anything added for sims only would be silly and would more likely be new land features than new private sim features.

However if LL is listening to a private sim holder and their feature requests over the popular demand, then yes that is an issue.

yea for group ownership of private sims. it would have to require tierage from the primary buyer if people backed out though. that'd be different from normal group code under which land overages are returned to the public domain.

gosh that must be at least sixteen lines of new code.

Did you make this up, or did you hear it somewhere other than from a mate in a virtual pub?

If true. good on 'em. But you'd think they might tell us private sim owners if that was the case.

Maybe it's a surprise. Aww. How sweet.

Hank, here's there number: 4152439000. Give'em a call if you want.

Here's their address if you want to visit: 333 Linden St, San Francisco, CA 94102

I'm including a map as well.

Ya... just try to find parking down there though. Ouch.

I didn't realize they were *there*, for some reason I thought they were in SOMA with all the other dot com's.

Is parking really that bad? Wonder if LL employee's commute, carpool, etc. or if they have their own lots.

I think a lot of them telecommute for the most part.

Yes, parking *can* be that bad. They are in the chic Hayes Valley (lower) area bordering on the Civic Center. A friend of mine lives around the corner from LL's offices, and parking is usually a PITA. Fortunately, public transit in the city is good (usually late, but at least it exists).

Uh... that Linden Street address is two years old this month. We're no longer in Hayes valley but have moved to SOMA, near the ballpark.

Edit -- oops, two years, not three.

So that's not where I would go to stalk Jeff?

Can I get the address for that?
