Hi all,
I really hope this doesn't incur arguments because that is not my intention. I honestly want to know how people currently spend their time in SL, how they want to spend their time in SL and what it is they like about SL.
I'm fairly new to the game and the forums, but here is what I've observed - a TON of people, here in the forums anyway, have a strong dislike for clubs and malls. So what do you all do when you are in SL? Share it with the rest of us?
Right now I shop and dance! Not terribly exciting, true, but it's all I know how to do lol. I've created a little content for msyelf and others also, but couldn't imagine doing that all the time, and even if I did - somebody has to like it and buy it for it to be worth while. I love to shop in RL so that carried over to here and the dancing club I mainly do to meet people, because from what I've seen so far this is where they are at - lots of different people, not just the usual "clubbers" you'd imagine. I love creative events, but don't see them around much at all. What am I missing? What do you all do in SL that you enjoy? Please share. Thank you.

Aweee it's a good thread. Let me help get it kicking.
My time in SL is divided equally between creating content and socializing. Most of my creation time is spent going back and forth between SL and Photoshop. I'm afraid I seem pretty boring when I am in this mode but I DO try to take frequent breaks to pay some attention to the people I love.
When I'm between projects I can be a total spaz...talking to everybody I can, and dragging an ever growing train of people around the grid to visit interesting places and meet new people. While I have many old friends in SL that I love to death, I'm still in awe of the influx of great NEW people that have entered my world (you chickies all know who you are).

I want LL to deal with bugs as a priority.
I want LL to reconsider the teen grid until this grid works properly.
I want LL to remember that a percentage of their residents do not live in the USA.
I want LL to revert the crazy move of land owners only being able to put events in the list.
I would also like to see some financial incentives for events which do not include sexie av etc, all day tringo/bingo/slingo. Examples - quizes, primtionary, poetry or live music events.

I spend most of my time with my Sweetie, or building. It is nice to get a chance to build without having to worry that much about math. Sure, there is some, but not as nearly as much as in a 3D building app. At least that has been experience.

I spend some time creating (building and texturing -- sometimes for me, sometimes for others, sometimes for commercial ends). I spend some time helping others and answering questions. Some time checking in on various projects and experiments I have going. And I spend some time hopping around the grid checking in on people I've come to adore and various communities I've been lucky enough to get to know. I also try to earmark some time to broaden my horizons and check out new creators, cool new builds, and places on the grid i've never seen.
i really need a 48 hour day to accomodate both my RL life and what I WANT to accomplish in SL. lol

From: Sherrade Stirling Wow it hurts my little feelings nobody is interested in this disucssion I guess everyone is doing super duper important top secret stuff It's not you; this should have been a far more interesting thread. I've gotten lots of tips on cools builds to check out here. I've made a point of doing just that a few times a week. I work on developing my properties to my liking but make a point to stop and smell the pixels; that is, go exploring. In the last week I've attended 2 live concerts by Astrin Few. Live streams by musicians is an excellent utilization of the resources which I try to support that as well as the alternative music style Astrin presents. I'd like to see more of both and will support it whenever it does. I went to the Riverwalk Art Show in Ganymede last Saturday and went back again last night to a Meet the Artist last night. I flew a plane and tried skydiving for the first time. I always wanted to but all the complaining about sim crossings, security systems, blah, blah, blah,... put me off. I met someone who introduced me to both activities and I'm glad for that. That's the cool thing about meeting new people: they can bring a new element into the mix. New motto: tis better to soar and crash then to wallow amongst the whine. I went to Manhattan with a friend who is from Madrid. (Nice build, Aimee, though I'm sure you've heard it all before.) We sat in Central Park and continued our ongoing discussion in which we compare the climate, terrain, politics, economics,....of our respective locales. What else did I do this week? Geez, I dunno, nothing special I guess. Same old, same old....

From: Sherrade Stirling Hi all,
I love creative events, but don't see them around much at all. What am I missing? What do you all do in SL that you enjoy? Please share. Thank you. Isn't she asking for you all do by way of alternatives to shopping and clubbing that makes SL a good experience event wise? And what type of event alternatives you'd like to see?
